The mission of the JROTC program is to motivate young people to be better citizens.  We do that through a cadet-led program of instruction that will challenge you and enable you to accomplish things you never thought possible.  Whether it be the physical challenges of our Raider team, the precision and synchronization  of our drill teams, color guard, and drum and bugle corps, or the distinct qualities of one of our seven other special teams, JROTC has something to offer anyone looking to improve themselves and their future.  Join the oldest JROTC program in the nation, as well as the largest organization on campus and become the best that you can be.
JROTC Alumni Dinner - Update

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the War Department designating the Leavenworth Corps of Cadets an ROTC in 1917, we are holding a JROTC Alumni Dinner.  The dinner will be held on January 28th, 2017 at 7pm in the LHS Main Gym.  Please note the time has been changed to 7:00 pm.  The dinner is free to JROTC Alumni and their guests.  Dress is business casual.  Please RSVP to LTC Hollister at eric.hollister@lvpioneers.org, or (913)684-1550, ext 84004.  RSVPs must be received by January 25th.

NEW CADET ACADEMY:

The LHS JROTC is running a New Cadet Academy.  The goal of this activity is to give new cadets an introduction to the program and to begin the process of issuing their uniform.  This will make their first week more enjoyable and will allow the battalion to complete inprocessing requirements faster.

The New Cadet Academy will occur on August 4th from 8:00 to 11:00 am and August 5th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the JROTC wing of the high school.  Your cadet only has to attend one of these sessions.  Cadets should dress casually, wear comfortable shoes (as they will learn basic drill and ceremony), and be prepared to try on uniforms.

Please RSVP and let LTC Hollister know which session your cadet will be attending, and provide their t-shirt size.  He can be reached at eric.hollister@usd453.org or 913-684-1550 x 1260.
