Schedules - The LHS Guidance Office continues to adjust student schedules.  Please prepare for the possibility that your student’s schedule may have changed although they may have a copy of their schedule from our enrollment day. On Wednesday, August 15, all students will have to pick up a schedule from the small gymnasium before the start of 1st hour. This schedule will reflect any revisions to your student’s classes.

Lockers - Lockers have not been assigned to students.  As most courses have gone to on-line textbooks and students will be issued a computer to access those texts, students have fewer books to store.  Additionally, fewer and fewer students are using lockers to store their personal items. Students may request a locker on the day they collect their school computer (August 16-17).  We will facilitate a sign-up for those who require a locker. If your student requires a locker because of an extraordinary need, and you wish that they have a locker on the first day of school, you can contact our main office to make the request.

School IDs - Student IDs have already been printed and will be distributed to students the first day of school.  If a student requires an ID with a more current picture than the one on file, they may request a new ID from the LHS security desk. Students will need their IDs to check out their school-issued computer the first week of school.

Computers - All students will be issued a Chromebook the first week of school.  Chromebooks for sophomores and seniors will be checked out on August 16; Chromebooks for freshman and juniors will be checked out on August 17.  Students must have their school ID to complete the check-out process (see School IDs above).

College Credit Classes at LHS - LHS offers many classes in which students can earn college credit from Kansas City Kansas Community College. If your student would like to earn college credit in a course that offers it, he or she mu7st complete the steps listed below. Additionally, students who have not already done so need to take the ACCUPLACER Entrance Exam. Students can take the ACCUPLACER in the LHS Guidance Office during business hours, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  More information about college credit classes is available by calling the LHS Guidance Office.
