Senior/Graduation Calendar of Events & Information
Senior Calendar of Events
  • Seniors will have finals on Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13.

  • At this point, there is no school for seniors on Tuesday, May 14.

  • Thursday, May 16 is chock-full of activities, most importantly, Cap/Gown/Ticket Distribution at 9:15 a.m. in the Auditorium.  It is important that all debts are paid by this time, as students will not receive graduation items if still on the debtor's list, and the LHS Bookkeeping Office is incredibly busy that day, causing long wait times.

  • Note that students invited to Senior Awards Night must attend the practice at 10:30 a.m., and arrive by 5:30 p.m. in the evening for the celebration, which begins at 6:00 p.m.

  • Seniors should be at the school on Friday, May 17 at 9:30 a.m., in the LHS Main Gym, for Commencement Practice.

  • All seniors are invited to the Senior Picnic, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., held on the west side of the LHS campus.

  • And, finally, the big event will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.  Weather permitting, Graduation will be held outside at Pioneer Stadium. If inclement weather is a factor, the event would be moved inside (Main Gym live event, Small Gym and Auditorium for overflow).  The decision on location will be made by 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019.

  • Graduation Tickets - Seniors will receive four blue graduation tickets that may be used either inside in the event of inclement weather (Main Gym entrance), or outside, weather permitting.  Students will receive six additional yellow tickets that may only be used outside (or, for overflow seating should the event be moved inside).

  • If you have not ordered your cap and gown yet, please go to www.thegraduationcenter.com.

  • If your student will not be participating in the graduation ceremony, please let us know, as there are many logistics to consider.

  • Project Graduation will be held the evening after Graduation, at no cost to the graduate.  Students may see Mrs. Wilt in Guidance to obtain raffle tickets. The event will be held from 8:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. at the Riverfront Community Center.  Graduates must check in by 9:00 p.m., and once signed in, cannot leave and return. Project Graduation is a safe, healthy, drug/alcohol free after-graduation event sponsored by the LHS PTA.  There will be food, music, activities, swimming, and prizes!
